At a business forumjointly held by the Vietnam Chambers of Commerce and Industry and theArgentine Chamber of Commerce on May 28, delegates from both sides spokehighly of trade and economic cooperation potential of the twocountries.
They shared the view that besideschallenges, the global economy downturn also offers opportunities forthe two countries to strengthen win-win ties in the framework ofSouth-South cooperation.
The same day, the Vietnam-Argentina Centre also organised an exchange between the two sides’ businesses.
In recent years, two way trade between Vietnam and Argentina hasseen a strong development, surpassing 1 billion USD for the first timein 2012, up 7.4 percent year-on-year, according to statistics from theVietnam General Customs Department. The figure for the first quarter ofthis year was 224 million USD, a 33 percent increase from the sameperiod last year.
The Vietnamese business delegationis scheduled to leave for Chile on May 29, where they will alsomeet with local companies.-VNA
