The 33-strong orchestra’srepertoire will include movements from works written by H. J. Rigel andW.A. Mozart, according to Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) website.
Famous conductors, including Daniel Harding, Christian Zacharias,Louis Langrée, Christophe Coin and René Jacobs, have been invited toparticipate in the concert, which aims to mark the 40 th anniversary ofVietnam-France diplomatic ties.
TheChamps-Élysées Orchestra was founded in 1991 by musicians who were alsolecturers. Its recent tours have featured concerts at prestigious venueslike Musikverein (Vienna), Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), BarbicanCentre (Londres), Philharmonies (Munich, Berlin, and Cologne),Alte Oper (Frankfurt), Gewandhaus de Leipzig, Lincoln Center (NewYork), Parco della Musica (Rome), and halls in Japan, the Republicof Korea, and China.
The orchestra always reserves time for public meetings and school workshops on the sidelines of each of its concerts.-VNA
