The Vice President was joinedby Deputy Minister of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs Doan MauDiep and Deputy Minister of Health Le Quang Cuong.
Speaking to the institute’s staff, Vice President Doan, who is alsoPresident of the National Fund for Vietnamese Children, said that asmost of the children at the NIHBT suffer from grave illness, the doctorsand nurses should treat them as their own children to help them copewith the diseases.
She wished the children a joyful and warm International Children’s Day full of love.
The same day, Vice President Doan also visited children at the tumour ward of the National Paediatrics Hospital .
In 2013, the National Fund for Vietnamese Children aims to raise 50billion VND for more than one million children in difficultcircumstances nationwide through such programmes as For theChildren’s Eyesight, For the Children’s Smiles, For the Children’sHearts, and various scholarships projects.-VNA
