The reception was in the frameworkof the third Political Consultation between the two ministries offoreign affairs from May 26-28.
Minister Minhsuggested the two countries foster cooperation and work closely togetherto effectively implement several bilateral cooperation mechanisms,including joint cabinet meetings; political consultation; a jointcommittee on trade; and a Vietnam-Thailand working group on politicaland security cooperation.
He also spoke highly ofthe effective cooperation in drafting the content of Vietnam–ThailandStrategic Partnership under the guidelines of the two countries’leaders.
The Thai diplomat said the political consultation had raised key issues of the bilateral strategic partnership.
He added that based on the recent good bond between the two countries,and the close ties between the two ministries, the friendly relationsand cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand will further develop in thecoming time.
The two sides also exchanged views on several regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Earlier the same day, Sihasak Phuangketkeow and Vietnamese DeputyForeign Minister Pham Quang Vinh co-chaired the third politicalconsultation between Vietnam and Thailand.-VNA
